| What are the activities of the MMS? | The activities consist
of a monthly popular talk on mathematical topics. This is followed
by coffee, where the members (or prospective members) can meet in a n
informal atmosphere. We sometimes go for a pizza after the talk.
We do our best to make the talks accessible to anyone. At most a knowledge of A-Level Maths is required. |
The monthly talk is normally held on the first Tuesday of the month. This type of activity normally starts in October and ends in May of the following year. |
| The MMS organises the MATHS OLYMPIAD - a biennial interschool event event. | This year is another Olympiad year and will be held in November. | |
| Who is eligible to join? | Anyone who has an interest in Mathematics. No age limit. | Current members include students, lecturers, teachers. Oh, and women too! |
| What is the fee? | It is Lm2 annually. | So it does not cost a fortune to become a member! |
